Welcome to my blog. My name is Bob Moore, and I am a teacher by day and an aspiring internet marketer by night. My day job consists of teaching high school English to sophomores and seniors at Pinnacle High School in Phoenix, Arizona. Oh, and I’m also the department chair, so I wear a lot of hats.
The day job will be coming to an end soon as I’ll be retiring at the end of this school year (woo-hoo)! I’ve enjoyed my 30+ years in education, but I want to go out while I’m still on top of my game.
I live in the northernmost area of Phoenix with my beautiful wife and two four-legged daughters. My wife is also a teacher, but unfortunately she came late to the party and doesn’t have enough years in yet. So the plan is to move out of state next summer (Iowa) where she will continue her teaching career.
Why Iowa? A couple reasons. It’s where she is from, plus Iowa ranks tenth in the nation in teacher pay (Arizona is 49th). Enough said.
I have been attempting to break through in the IM space for more years than I care to count. I consider myself to be a dabbler — blogging, affiliate marketing, product creation. You probably know the routine.
So why wouldn’t I consider myself a success after trying so many things? You see, I’m a bit of a perfectionist. I feel I have to know something inside and out before I do anything. So what happens is I spend my time reading/watching tutorial after tutorial assuming that I’m actually doing something. Sound familiar? There were days I knew I had to act, but I felt paralyzed not knowing what, specifically, I should be doing.
I don’t know what exactly happened (or when), but one day I just came to the realization that learning didn’t equal earning. Learning without action equals no money
I’ve decided to put into action the fundamental teachings of mentors I have followed. This blog is kind of the beginning of that journey.
My purpose here is to share with you my experiences, my successes, and my obstacles. I certainly don’t profess to be the all-knowing internet marketer. Don’t get me wrong. I do know about a lot of stuff — affiliate marketing, PLR, and video production among other things, but I never put that knowledge into action.
That changes now.
I hope you’ll continue to visit my blog, as I intend to keep it updated with the events surrounding my journey. From time to time, I’ll also throw in some snippets and goodies that I hope will help you along the way.
Thank you for checking in, and please feel free to reach out at any time.
Just take action.
