…and I got to wondering – I know you’re terribly busy running your business… but are you productive? What I mean is, are you using your time to its highest good?
When you first start your online business, you’re having to do everything – creating banners, writing blog posts, posting in forums, writing articles, etc.
But what about after you begin to make money? Look, I’ve said this time and time again, yet few people seem to get it: One of the key secrets to making money online is leveraging your time. If the most productive thing you can do is hold webinars or create your next product, yet you’re mucking about doing the little stuff that can be outsourced, you’re shooting yourself (and your business) in the foot.
Heck, even if you’re not making a fortune in your business yet, if you can just outsource the things you enjoy doing the least you will see a remarkable change in both your own attitude and your business.
Try it today. Yes, today. Think of the next small task you need done – whatever it might be – go to Fiverr and find someone to do it for you for 5 bucks. Go on. Don’t let your ego tell you that no one can do it as well as you can – that’s bullocks. Heck, even if it’s true, that’s still not an excuse to insist that you do everything.
Think of it this way: The captain of a ship decides where they are going and how they are going to get there. Everything else he delegates. If he were to do the 1,001 things that need to be done on a ship, the vessel would never even leave the harbor. And your business is no different. Stop working so hard in your business and instead begin working ON your business. Gather a team of freelance outsourcers and allow them to do the 1,001 tasks on your ship while you pilot it through the seas and into the port of your dreams.
After all, why focus on cleaning the heads (toilets) or scraping the barnacles when there is a willing crew ready to go to work for you? I can tell you from experience: It is far, far more fun being the captain than it is swabbing the decks.
Until next time. . .
Just take action.
