Correct me if I’m wrong, but here is another huge offender, or, as I mentioned earlier, a time vampire:

Email — Hey, I admit I’m guilty, too.

The first thing I would do after grabbing my morning cup of joe was sit down and check my email. Here’s the problem: I was (and am) on SO many lists, I had a ton of emails to sift through. There weren’t really that many that were worth much of my time. Rather than doing something to move my business forward, I was feeding into everyone else’s sales pitches.

Here’s the sad truth: I’M STILL DOING IT!! It’s a habit i haven’t been able to completely quit. It’s almost become a habit that I have to gt caught up on my email before I can move forward on my business. What a waste of time! I’m finally coming to the realization that reading other people’s email offers is doing nothing for me other than wasting my time. I’ve become addicted to email offers. ENOUGH!

Checking email should come after I’ve done whatever I need to do for my business that day. That’s been a tough lesson to learn, but it’s an absolute truth: Your business comes first — another’s is secondary.

Okay, I’ll still check my email, but it won’t be my primary objective. I’m doing better.

As I’ve said before (and it was a hard lesson for me to learn), if it’s not beneficial to your business, ignore it. Only buy what’s going to move you forward. There’s so much out there to cloud your judgment. Just pick one thing, focus on it, and take action.

If you choose one area of focus and block out everything else, you’ll see amazing results. I know I’m not the first to tell you this, but block out the shiny objects, and you’ll see positive results.

Please heed my advice, and most importantly,

Just take action.
