Sometimes you have to get slapped in the face a few times before you wake up. Okay, I get it. I will never claim to be the be-all and end-all in this business. How dare I do that.

I’ve been following internet marketing for years. I guess you could say I’m a student of the game. That being said, I’m sick of being a student and ready to leave the nest. I mean, you can never learn everything, but knowledge without action leaves you nowhere.

So what does all this mean? I was taught a loooonngg time ago that simply copying and pasting PLR articles would get you absolutely nowhere, since a billion and six others would have the same posted content.

You want something unique. Okay, I get it. Along comes the vaunted article spinner. Just copy and paste, push a button, and out comes a beautiful masterpiece that no one else on the planet has. That sounds good, right?

Well, you certainly get something unique, but it’s not something anyone else would want to post anyway.

Not too long ago, I came across an article spinner that was supposed to be the bees knees (how old am I?) Truth be told, it’s not bad. No product names here.

But here’s the thing. . .it spits out synonyms, restructures sentences, adds paragraphs and some other features, but you still have to choose what phrases you want, what synonyms you want, how you want the sentences/paragraphs rewritten, etc.

That’s all well and good, but here’s my take — just rewrite the damn article yourself. It’ll be your original work and probably take less time anyway. I was told this YEARS ago, but I always thought there was something easier out there. Isn’t that always the way?

I came to this realization tonight. I have a folder that has 286 bajillion PLR articles and access to a supposedly top-notch article spinner. I put in one article and you can probably guess the result — crap in, crap out. Lesson learned.

We always think we’ll find the simple solution. It’s time to stop looking. Here’s some advice you’ve probably never heard before — work hard and don’t cut corners. Keep your own voice in your posts, and you’ll find that life is good.

That being said, I’ll leave you with this:

Just take action (and write your own stuff!)
